How to request deletion of your personal data

At GIG Game Shop, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page provides instructions on how to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data from our systems. We are committed to processing all deletion requests in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

How to Request Data Deletion

In-App Request

Open the GIG Game Shop app, go to Profile > Settings > Account > Delete Account. Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your deletion request.

Email Request

Alternatively, you can send an email to our support team requesting data deletion. Please include the following information:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your username (if applicable)
  • Phone number associated with the account
  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Verification

For security purposes, we may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request. This helps ensure that only you can request deletion of your data.

Confirmation

Once your request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

Account profile information
Email address and phone number
App usage history
Saved preferences and settings
Transaction history (if any)
Device information

Processing Time

We aim to process all deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a verified request. In some cases, we may need up to 90 days for complete removal from all backup systems.
